The Santa Clarita Ballet Company celebrates 19 years of dance in the Santa Clarita Valley. Under the leadership of Corinne Glover, Executive Director and Carol Guidry, Artistic Director, the company continues to captivate its audience with an extremely impressive repertoire of dance performed with true artistic excellence. The repertoire includes traditional as well as original and contemporary dance that include, Cinderella, Coppelia, As the Piano Rolls, Beauty and the Beast, Dvorak Serenade, A Midsummer Nights Dream, La Bayadere, Alice In Wonderland, and the recently choreographed G Song/B Side. These productions have been met with great critical acclaim. Additionally, the Santa Clarita Ballet Company dazzles audiences each year with the production of The Nutcracker, that is now a community tradition.
Besides providing affordable ballet for the community, the Santa Clarita Ballet Company provides valuable production experience and arts exposure to the youth of the Santa Clarita Valley. The company performances give many talented and career bound young dancers the opportunity to perform with professional guest artists.
The Santa Clarita Ballet Academy offers a comprehensive dance program with an emphasis on classical ballet for students of all levels of ability and interest, ranging in ages from three to adult.
The Academy’s program is based on the syllabus provided by the Royal Academy of Dance in London, an international teaching organization committed to establishing standards of excellence in ballet instruction. Examinations are administered annually by an official representative of the RAD. These examinations are optional, and we encourage all serious students to participate in this opportunity.
